"The tree which moves some to tears of joy is in the eyes of others only a green thing that stands in the way. Some see nature all ridicule and deformity... and some scarce see nature at all. But to the eyes of the man of imagination, nature is imagination itself."

William Blake

How do I decide which image is worthy of my "portfolio"? The best of the many? After all, it has taken me hours, days, months, and in some cases years to capture the images that I imagined. Sometimes I have questioned my sanity. "Why am I here freezing in minus 35, just hoping that I would see the polar bear cub. It may not even happen! Why am I sitting here for 6 hours, hoping that the owl will fly and give me that perfect image?" And so many more questions. To get that perfect sunset/sunrise. To capture that perfect expression on a grizzly bear's face. The wings just have to be right on that snowy owl's flight. And so much more. I can confidently say that my ratio of failure to success is 30:1, if not worse. As my wife so adoringly never fails to remind me "If you say it is going to be a gorgeous sunset, it is not going to be! So don't say it". The painful truth is, she is right! I fail to capture that moment, because it did not happen the way I was hoping it would. But that makes me determined even more. "I AM GOING TO GET IT, NO MATTER WHAT". When I get it, that is when I stop questioning my sanity, because in the end, what I finally get is so worth it!

So here I am, sharing some of the images I thought were worth going through so much of "suffering and waiting". I hope you enjoy them.
